Saint Vincent's Day Home
Saint Vincent's Day Home is a shining example of a child-development organization that is committed to benefiting the entire local community. Based in economically disadvantaged West Oakland, California, Saint Vincent's has been taking care of children for nearly 100 years. Most recently, Saint Vincent's launched a new family literacy computer lab with state-of-the-art equipment. Literacyworks and Saint Vincent's enjoy a close relationship: the executive director of each organization sits on the board of the other. In addition, Literacyworks maintained the Day Home's website for many years and has also contributed several invitation/program designs and refined the Day Home's logo.
