KUAT’s Ready to Learn/Ready Set Read is a school readiness initiative from the Public Broadcast Service (PBS). Directed at families with low literacy or low English proficiency, this services gives parents the tools to help them help children achieve success scholastically. Through the workshops we provide, parents learn that when they combine the award-winning universal, non-commercial and nonviolent children’s television programming with books and other activities, their children can arrive at school ready to learn.
